About Us

Our family believes that while everyone should have access to high quality, holistic education, that is not what all of our public schools are providing.

We are yin and yang. We blend the masculine and feminine, the physical and the social emotional. Creating a community education hub has long been a dream of ours. Now is the time.

Our son is now school age, and we want to make sure that he, and other young people like him, have the kind of school that will coach them to explore their interests, care for their bodies and minds, and create a life they love.

As an educator with 18 years of experience, Erika has focused on connection and community with students. Erika’s greatest strength as an educator is creating an environment where students feel seen, understood, and loved. Outside of teaching, Erika is a proud mama, wife, and friend, dedicated to always digging deeper to heal, love, and grow in community.

Joshua embodies the essence of a Renaissance Man, harmonizing his roles as a family man, musician, Army veteran, martial artist, and fitness coach with a passion for mentoring youth. His life, marked by service, discipline, and creativity, inspires a balance of tradition and innovation, guiding future generations towards growth and learning.

We are not doing this alone. 50+ fellow passionate Apogee school owners are on this journey at the same time. We will be walking through this process together and sharing what works and what doesn’t so that we can continuously refine and improve our schools.

We will also be working closely with our chosen families. The whole families, not just the kids. We believe that parents are the first and most influential teachers, and we want to help parents grow and continue to be the models that they want to be for their children.

Enrolling Now!

We’re seeking families who want their children to be free thinkers, thoughtful stewards, and confident, compassionate leaders—who feel called to build something new and meaningful from the roots up.

For the families who know that the best journeys start with bold first steps.
